At Ramakrishna Math, Madurai, the following service activities were organized during the month of September 2025.
- Free Cataract Surgery Camp
On 20 September 2025, a free screening camp for cataract surgeries was organized at the Ashrama in collaboration with Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai.
The camp details are as follows:
- 156 outpatients were examined (Males: 74, Females: 77, Children: 4).
- 61 patients were selected for surgery.
- 54 patients underwent surgery.
- 39 spectacles were provided.
- Surgeries were performed on 22 September 2025 at Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai.
- Distribution of Ration Kits
On 23 September 2025, ration kits were distributed to the 54 cataract surgery patients.
Each kit contained 1 kg dal, 1 kg sugar, 0.5 kg tamarind, 1 kg edible oil, 200 g chilli powder, 0.5 kg sambar powder, 1 kg sooji, and 1 bathing soap.
