Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Purulia observed ‘Rashtriya Poshan Maah’ through relevant programmes – Health and Hygiene, Nutrition, Child care (through medical camps), Safe Drinking Water, Sanitation & Plantation in Saradapalli, Jahajpur, Ledabera, Potnara Villages & in the main campus of ‘Kalyan’& New campus of Purulia Vidyapith for the Bongabari Village on 22, 23, 26 – 30 September 2020. ‘Kalyan’ & Jan Shikshan Sansthan, Purulia rendered all possible assistance.
180 mothers and children were benefited. Two duly qualified Doctors examined them and provided allopathic medicine according to their need. To help and encourage them in respect to nutrition and cleanliness, milk, egg, biscuit & soap were distributed among them. Masks were distributed and also saplings were distributed among them for plantation programme to protect the concerned villages from environmental pollution.
For the orientation and awareness programmes among the villagers, the Monks, members of the Managing Committee, Teachers, Members of the staff Health Workers & two qualified Doctors from Purulia Vidyapith took an active part. The Secretary of ‘Kalyan’, the Director of Jan Shikshan Sansthan & other volunteers from Kalyan Krishi Vijnan Kendra also took part in it.
