Inauguration of Swami Vivekananda Auditorium, Ramakrishna Mission, Jammu, August 2018

The newly constructed auditorium at our Jammu Ashrama, in connection with the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, was inaugurated by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Honorable Minister of State in PMO, Govt. of India; in presence of Swami Muktidananda, President of Advaita Ashrama, Mayavati (Uttarakhand) on 26th August 2018, sacred Raksha-Bandhan Day. The name of this new auditorium is given ‘Swami Vivekananda Auditorium’. Its seating capacity is for 330 people; it looks very beautiful with two large paintings of Swamiji, one is above the stage and the other is decorated on the front wall. Dr. Jitendra Singh praised the service activities of Ramakrishna Mission in his lecture, mentioned his visit to our centres in Meghalaya some time past. Swami Muktidananda gave a short speech. Felicitations were given to the architects, Sri Suhas Joshi, on behalf of Structures and Foundations Pvt. Ltd, Kalkaji, New Delhi. Vote of thanks was moved by Sri Suresh Kumar Sharma, the President of the managing committee of Jammu Ashrama. Closing song was sung by Swami Dhruvarupananda, from New Delhi Center. 200 devotees and admirers attended it. All felt very happy to see the new auditorium.
