Inauguration of Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan: Morabadi, Ranchi, May 2025

On 29 May 2025, the “Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan” (Developed Agriculture Resolution Campaign) was inaugurated at Divyayan Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Morabadi, Ranchi, in association with ATMA, Ranchi.

The event was formally launched at 10:00 a.m. by Hon’ble Minister of State for Defence Shri Sanjay Seth, Hon’ble MLA of Silli Shri Amit Kumar, Swami Bhaveshananda, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, and District Agriculture Officer Shri Ramashankar Prasad. The campaign is being carried out under the guidance of ICAR-ATARI, Patna, Zone-IV, with support from the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India.

The program began with the ICAR song and ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Swamiji, the chief guest, and other dignitaries. Dr. Ajit Kumar Singh, Senior Scientist at Divyayan KVK, welcomed the guests and outlined the objectives of the campaign.

Chief Guest Shri Sanjay Seth emphasized that 731 Krishi Vigyan Kendras, 113 ICAR institutions, and 2,170 scientists across India would interact directly with farmers to share advanced agricultural techniques. He invoked the Prime Minister’s vision to make India the world’s leading nation by 2047.

Guest of Honour MLA Shri Amit Kumar appreciated the outstanding work done by the KVK in Ranchi district.

District Agriculture Officer Shri Ramashankar Prasad elaborated on various government schemes and encouraged the use of Soil Health Cards for balanced fertilization.

Swami Bhaveshananda Maharaj emphasized the crucial role of farmers in realizing Swami Vivekananda’s vision and advocated natural farming to reduce input costs and enhance soil health.

Scientists from ICAR provided technical guidance on paddy, lac, and vegetable farming. Shri Chandan Kumar of IFFCO shared how using nano urea and nano DAP can increase crop yield by 10–15%. IFFCO also distributed kits to the farmers.

Experts like Dr. Raghav Thakur, Dr. Suresh Kumar, and Dr. Sudarshan Biswas also provided valuable insights on natural farming.

The program was coordinated by Shri Prafulla S.O. of KVK and concluded with a vote of thanks by Agricultural Engineer Shri O.P. Sharma.

Approximately 350 farmers from different blocks of Ranchi district participated in the event.
