The Infosys Foundation Scholarship 2023-24 amounting to Rs. 15 lakh (Rupees Fifteen lakh) was distributed among 100 deserving students of the school of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Hatamuniguda, on Saturday, 14 October 2023 in a programme organised in the Vivekananda Hall.
Shri Saptagiri Sankar Ulaka, Member of the Parliament, Lok Sabha was the Chief Guest of the programme and distributed the scholarship and addressed the students and the teachers on this occasion. In his speech, Shri Ulaka emphasised on the preservation of our rich ancient culture and inspired the students to come out as good citizens and serve the motherland.
Similarly, on 15 October 2023, Shri K Venketswar Reddy, OAS, Tahashildar, Bissamcuttack attended the programme as the Chief Guest and distributed the IDBI Bank Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2023-24 amounting Rs. 1,10,000/- (Rupees One lakh ten thousand) among 15 deserving students. In his speech, he urged the students, the future of the country, to dream big, plan well, work hard, materialise their dreams and be successful.     Â
On both the days, the programme started with offering of floral tribute to Swami Vivekananda amidst Vedic invocations by the students. Swami Gitatmananda, Secretary welcomed the guests and spoke about the purpose of the scholarship. He also appreciated the kind gesture of Infosys Foundation, IDBI Bank and the Headquarters of the Ramakrishna Mission.
Swami Prabhuvarananda proposed a vote of thanks. The programme ended with a closing song by the students. All were served with light refreshment.
