To commemorate the Golden Jubilee Year of the Shri Ramakrishna Deva Temple, the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Ashrama, Raipur, organized an inspiring inter-district youth retreat on 14th March 2026. Held at the Vivekananda Satsang Bhavan, the event marked a significant milestone in the temple’s historic year of celebrations.
The half-day retreat, which ran from 9:00 a.m. to 1:40 p.m., was attended by 275 enthusiastic youths from eight districts across Chhattisgarh. The program commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp and Vedic chanting, setting a spiritual and reflective tone for the day.

The retreat featured intellectual sessions designed to foster character building and personal growth. Renowned speakers shared insights on the following topics:
- Swami Prapattyananda: Addressed the fundamental question, “Why Youth Camps?”
- Swami Jnanagamyananda: Discussed the ideal modern youth in a changing global environment according to Swami Vivekananda.
- Professor Dr. Rajiv Choudhary: Spoke on the holistic personality development of youth amidst modern challenges.
- Professor Dr. Vinit Sahu: Delivered a talk on the practical utility of character building through the National Service Scheme (NSS).
The event also included an interactive Question & Answer session, allowing participants to seek guidance on all-round development. To conclude the program, cooked Prasad was served to all attendees.
