Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Manasadwip, organized a day-long inter-school cultural competition focused on the impact of the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda on our lives.
The programme was held on Sunday, November 9, 2025, and began at 9 a.m.
Participation and Structure
A total of 317 students from 18 different schools across the Gangasagar region participated in the programme. Teachers from every school and many guardians were also present and extended their full cooperation throughout the event. Both boys and girls took part actively in all competition categories.
Students were divided into four groups for fair competition:

Competition Events
A diverse range of cultural and academic competitions were conducted separately for each group, including:
- Bengali and English Recitation
- Speeches
- Vocal Music
- Both Bengali and English Essay Writing
- Drawing
- Quiz Competitions
To conduct the competitions smoothly and maintain objectivity, twenty prominent judges were invited from different parts of the district. Their presence added dignity and grace to the programme.
Logistics and Conclusion
Refreshment was arranged in the morning, and lunch was provided to all participants, teachers, guardians, and judges. Furthermore, the book “Sobar Swamiji (সবার স্বামীজী)” was given away to every participant as a memento.
The day-long programme was successful and created an inspiring environment for the students to learn more about Swami Vivekananda’s ideals while showcasing their own talents. Students, guardians, and representing teachers thoroughly enjoyed and greatly appreciated this programme and emphasized that such events should be organized repeatedly in the future.
