Ramakrishna Math, Konampatti organised a one-day Japa Yagna for devotees on 18 October 2026, as part of the Sri Durga Puja observances.
The programme included nearly three hours of collective japa-sadhana. It also included reading sessions, short discourses, and question-and-answer sessions on spiritual practices. A parikrama-sankirtan and bhajans were held as well.
Swami Atmaghanananda of Ramakrishna Math, Chennai, and Swami Vimokshananda of Ramakrishna Math, Yelagiri, attended as guest monks and conducted the programmes.
Devotees from Konampatti and Sivakasi, who have maintained regular japa practice for about three decades, attended the Japa Yagna. Among the participants were parents and relatives of twenty-seven monastic members of the Ramakrishna Order and the Sri Sarada Order. A few monastics from unaffiliated centres also attended.
The programme concluded with a parikrama-sankirtan around the Jayrambati-model houses on the Math premises. These houses have led the centre to be known as Dakshina Jayrambati.
A special discount was offered on the Math’s literature. Around 115 devotees participated. All were served snacks and cooked prasad from morning till evening.
