On Saturday, 18th October 2025, the 6th medical camp under the project “Maternity and Child Welfare Services” was organized at Mother Teresa Suswastha Kendra, Haritala, covering municipal ward numbers 20, 23, and 24 under the jurisdiction of Nabadwip Municipality. The programme is being implemented by Ramakrishna Mission, Nabadwip, with financial assistance from Infosys Foundation and infrastructural, professional, and human resource support from Nabadwip Municipality.
Dr. Siharan Chakraborty, President, Managing Committee, RKM Nabadwip; Sri Sabyasachi Mondal, Vice President; Sri Sandip Pal, Assistant Secretary; Sri Bimal Baran Saha, Managing Committee Member; Sri Tapas Khan, Public Health Officer, Nabadwip Municipality; Dr. Ajayendu Roy, Medical Officer, Nabadwip Municipality; Smt Usha Roy, Councillor, Ward No. 20; Smt Parul Debnath, Councillor, Ward No. 24, and several other distinguished guests were present during the camp.
During the camp, 62 pregnant mothers received ration kits containing essential items for mother and child care. Doctors attended 48 patients, including children, providing free medicines and nutritional supplements such as vitamins, calcium, and folic acid. An awareness session on general health and hygiene for pregnant mothers was also conducted, emphasizing the importance of maternal and child well-being.
The camp was a successful step towards promoting healthcare and awareness among underprivileged mothers and children in Nabadwip.
