A Free Medical Screening Camp for the treatment and surgical correction of congenital cleft lip and cleft palate was organised by Ramakrishna Mission, Balurghat on 24 May 2026 at 10:00 AM.
Dr. Jayanta Kumar Tapadar (M.S., M.Ch., D.N.B. — Plastic Surgery), associated with Smayan Hospital, Varanasi, kindly lent his expertise to the initiative and personally examined the patients in attendance.
A total of 15 patients were seen and received medical consultation during the camp. Of these, 12 patients were found eligible and were selected for surgical intervention. Their operations are scheduled to be conducted at Kashi (Varanasi) in the coming days, with all necessary arrangements being made accordingly.
