The Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Kolkata, observed National Youth Day, the 163rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, on January 12, 2025, with a series of solemn and inspiring events.
The day began with the garlanding of the statues of Swami Vivekananda both inside and outside the Institute. This was followed by a full-day Vivekananda Musical Festival held at the tastefully decorated Vivekananda Hall. The festival featured renowned musicians such as:
- Sabir Sultan Khan
- Pt. Parimal Chakraborty (Sarangi Recital)
- Pt. Sajan Mishra and Swaransh Mishra with Pt. Swapan Chowdhury on Tabla and Pt. Jyoti Goho on Harmonium
- Utd. Nishat Khan (Sitar) with subhajyoti Guha on Tabla
- Kathak dance Duet by Saurav and Gaurav Mishra
- Vocal and Flute Duet by Pt. Jayateerth Mevundi and Pt. Pravin Godkhindi
- Rudra Veena and Vocal Duet by Utd. Bahauddin Dagar and Pt. Nirmalya De
- Carnatic Violin Duet by L. Subramaniam & Ambi Subramaniam
The Vivekananda Rath (chariot) was positioned at the main entrance of the Institute throughout the day.
