The 41st National Youth Day celebration, organized by Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad, on January 12, 2025, was a resounding success. Nearly 3000 students, youth, parents, and teachers from 30 schools participated in the inspiring and colorful event, which spanned from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
The celebrations commenced with a poignant ceremony of garlanding the statue of Swami Vivekananda on Tank Bund Road. This was followed by the “Awakening India Walk,” a vibrant procession that marched from Tank Bund to the Ramakrishna Math.
A significant highlight of the day was the unveiling of an 18.50-foot mural of Swami Vivekananda on the Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence building by the Honourable Minister of IT, Government of Telangana.
A public meeting, addressed by esteemed dignitaries including Sri D Sridhar Babu, Minister of IT, Sri S Gurumurthy from Chennai, and Sri Appala Prasad, a renowned orator in the state, further enriched the event.
The program also included the presentation of the prestigious Swami Vivekananda Youth Leadership Award to nearly 20 deserving youths.
The vibrant cultural programs presented by the students of Vivekananda Bala Vikas Kendra added a touch of artistic brilliance to the celebrations.
A sumptuous lunch prasad was served to all participants, and each youth received two books of Swami Vivekananda and a certificate of participation.
