National Youth Day 2025: Raipur

Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Ashrama, Raipur, Chhattisgarh

Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Ashrama, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, organized a special National Youth Day and prize distribution ceremony on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at the Vivekananda Satsang Bhavan.

The program began at 10:00 am with the lighting of the lamp, followed by an opening song. Swami Avyayatmananda delivered the welcome address, emphasizing the significance of National Youth Day in shaping the future of the youth and the nation.

Swami Prapattyananda then presented a lecture on “Personality Development,” explaining Swamiji’s ideas on character building and how these principles can help students develop strong personalities.

Dr. S.K. Singh, Former Vice Chancellor of M.K. Vishwavidyalaya, Jagdalpur, spoke on “Swami Vivekananda and Nationalism.” He highlighted Swamiji’s message of selflessness, urging the youth to prioritize the welfare of others over personal liberation.

The Chief Guest of the function, Dr. Raman Singh, President of the Chhattisgarh State Assembly, elaborated on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda. He encouraged students to apply Swamiji’s ideals practically in their lives to achieve success, develop their character, and contribute to strengthening India. Dr. Singh distributed mementos, certificates, and books on Swamiji to 51 students who excelled in a speech competition held between November 18 and 26, 2024.

In his presidential address, Swami Avyayatmananda emphasized the importance of character, stating, “If money is lost, nothing is lost; if health is lost, something is lost; but if character is lost, everything is lost.” He urged the audience to be mindful of their character.

A total of 304 students (boys and girls) participated in the event. At the conclusion, all participants were given packets of chiwda, laddu, and a book titled Vivek Jyoti, a tribute to Swamiji’s teachings.

Additionally, Swami Vrajanathananda delivered a speech on National Youth Day at the Government Navin Mahavidyalaya, Gudiyari, Raipur. He spoke about the importance of selfless service to the nation. A total of 70 students attended this session, and each received a booklet on Swami Vivekananda’s life and teachings.

The event was a memorable occasion, inspiring the youth to reflect on Swami Vivekananda’s teachings and work towards building a stronger, more compassionate nation.
