In observance of National Youth Day, Ramakrishna Mission, Digboi, organized a series of events centering on physical and spiritual well-being. The celebrations began on 11 January 2026 with a yoga competition held at the Ashrama premises. The contest drew 90 participants aged 8 to 16, who were divided into six competitive groups.
The prize-giving ceremony took place on the evening of 12 January 2026, following the evening prayer. The event commenced with floral offerings to the Holy Trio, the lighting of the lamp, and Vedic chanting by the monastics and devotees. This was followed by a collective recitation of the Swadesh Mantra and two short, inspiring speeches by young students on the life of Swami Vivekananda.
A major highlight of the evening was the felicitation of three students and their instructor for their exceptional performance at the World Yoga Cup 2025 (UCMAYPSF), held in Bhubaneswar. Gold medalists Master Gaviram Saikia, Miss Tanzum Y. Mazumder, and Miss Puja Ghosh (Instructor), along with silver medalist Master Saptangsu Paul, were honored for their international success. The medalists also performed a yoga demonstration for the 100-strong audience.
