Onam, the beloved harvest festival of Kerala, commemorates the annual visit of the legendary King Mahabali to his devoted subjects — a tradition observed with joy, prayer, and a spirit of generous giving. On this auspicious occasion, Ramakrishna Math, Koyilandy celebrated the Onam festival at the Centre in the company of students of the Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa (GAP), local devotees, and well-wishers.
Prior to the commencement of the main programme, new clothes were distributed to mark the festive occasion:

The celebration commenced with a simple Puja of the Holy Trinity, followed by prayers and bhajans. A reading from The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna lent a contemplative and spiritually elevating dimension to the gathering. The GAP students thereafter presented a cultural programme, which was received with warmth and appreciation by all present.
The event concluded with the distribution of a sumptuous noon-prasad (lunch) to approximately 110 people, in keeping with the spirit of hospitality and community that is central to the Onam tradition.
