Bangladesh: Following the severe Cyclone Hamoon which made landfall in Cox’s Bazar area on 24 October, Bagerhat centre in collaboration with another institution distributed 400 kg rice, 80 kg potatoes, 80 kg pulses, 40 litres cooking oil, 80 kg salt and 80 packets of biscuits among 80 affected families in Cox’s Bazar district on 30 October.
Manipur: Continuing its relief operations for the victims of ethnic clashes which began in May, Imphal centre distributed the following items from 30Â October to 27 November in 36 relief camps in Imphal East, Imphal West and Bishnupur districts sheltering 6430 people from 1826 families: 38 kg Horlicks, 10 kg baby food, 129Â kg infant milk, 47 kg milk powder, 4467 notebooks, 900 pens, 875 pencils, 490Â crayons, 840 pencil sharpeners, 820 erasers, 3 baby walkers, 45 storage boxes, 45Â plastic mats and 3267 blankets.
Odisha: In the wake of two fire incidents in Puri district, Puri Math provided 70 kg rice, 35 kg wheat flour, 10 kg pulses, 11 kg soya chunks, 7 litres cooking oil, 7 kg salt, 15 blankets and 12 saris to 7 affected families on 1 and 20 November.
