Sampurna Yuva Vikas: Chandigarh, Oct – Nov 2024

Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Chandigarh


Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Chandigarh, initiated the Sampurna Yuva Vikas program in October 2024. The first session, held on October 6th, brought together around 30 young individuals from various colleges. The program commenced with Vedic chanting, followed by a discussion on Swami Vivekananda’s teachings on Karma Yoga. Dr. Nandita, a senior faculty member of Punjab University, delivered a motivational talk on building self-confidence.

The second session, held on November 10th, 2024, continued the program’s momentum. The session began with Vedic mantra chanting, followed by a discourse on “Yoga as a way of life” by Swami Dayadhipananda of Ramakrishna Math, Mumbai. Sri Om Prakash Singh, a renowned speaker and writer from Mohali, Punjab, conducted an interactive session on overcoming negativity and cultivating a positive mindset. This session delved into practical applications of Vedanta and Swami Vivekananda’s teachings on character building and mind control.

The program concluded with a question-and-answer session, Swadesh Mantra chanting, and a closing song. Approximately 15 participants, aged between 16 and 28, along with a few devotees, attended the session. Refreshments were provided to all participants.
