The SMPA Mindstorm National Quiz was conducted by the Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Authority (SMPA), Kolkata, in association with the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India, as part of India Maritime Week 2025 held in Mumbai. It was a solo quiz comprising a preliminary round followed by the National Final on 30th October 2025, in which 10 participants were selected from over 3 lakh participants across India.
The quiz was hosted by Mr. Vinay Mudaliar, a prominent figure in the Indian quizzing circuit.
Aryan Ghosh, a first-year B.Com. (Accounting and Finance) student of the Evening College, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Chennai, secured the First Place and received a cash prize of ₹2.5 lakh. He was felicitated by Mr. Shantanu Thakur, Hon’ble Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India.
