On Saturday, November 30, 2024, the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama in Chandigarh organized a half-day spiritual retreat from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The event began with the recitation of Vedic mantras and the Bhagavad Gita, followed by readings from Sri Ramakrishna’s teachings (Vachanamrita). Devotees then participated in the chanting of the Sri Ramakrishna Ashtottara Nama, offering 108 bilva leaves as a tribute.
The program continued with readings from “The Eternal Companion” and devotional songs (bhajans). A special address was delivered by Swami Atmajnananda Maharaj from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The retreat concluded with a traditional Bhoga-arati ceremony.
Approximately 230 devotees attended the event, and prasad was distributed to all.
