As Summer Relief Programme, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Ashrama, Raipur, organised a free buttermilk distribution service in front of the Ashrama premises on GE Road from 21 May to 2 June 2026.
During this period, the city of Raipur experienced intense summer heat, causing considerable discomfort to those engaged in outdoor work and travel. In response to this situation, the Ashrama arranged for the daily distribution of fresh, chilled buttermilk to members of the public passing along this busy thoroughfare.
Over the course of thirteen days, approximately 4,000 glasses of buttermilk were distributed free of cost. The beneficiaries included pedestrians, daily wage earners, commuters, vehicle drivers, and other travellers making use of this major arterial road. The service was received with gratitude by the general public.
