On Sunday, 10th May 2026, Ramakrishna Mission, Dhaleswar, organized a half-day Teachers’ Convention aimed at fostering educational excellence and value-based teaching. The convention, which ran from 8:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., saw an enthusiastic participation of 225 teachers representing 35 different academic institutions.
Programme Highlights
The event commenced in a solemn atmosphere with Vedic chanting followed by stirring patriotic songs, setting a contemplative tone for the session.
The gathering was addressed by distinguished speakers who shared insights on the role of educators in nation-building:
- Sri Subrata Bhattacharya, OSD, Secondary Education (Tripura), emphasized the administrative and practical aspects of modern education.
- Swami Amartyananda delivered a spiritual perspective, focusing on Swami Vivekananda’s vision of “Man-making and Character-building” education.
Tokens of Appreciation and Conclusion
As a gesture of inspiration, every participating teacher was presented with a gift packet containing two foundational books on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, intended to serve as a guide for their professional and personal journeys.
The Sammelan concluded with the distribution of Lunch Prasad to all participants
