Teachers’ Workshop: Chandigarh, June 2026

Ramakrishna Mission, Chandigarh

A Teachers’ Workshop was conducted on 1st June 2026 at Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Chandigarh, in which 26 teachers of Ankur School, Sector 14, Chandigarh, participated.

The workshop began at 8:00 a.m. with Veda mantra chanting and meditation in the Meditation Hall, followed by yogasanas. In the Library, Swami Bhitiharananda spoke on the ideals of Swami Vivekananda, after which videos on Swamiji’s life were screened and a group discussion was held on applying his teachings to modern education.

Dr. Nandita Shukla, Professor, Panjab University, Chandigarh, spoke on the responsibility of teachers in the modern education system, and Dr. Sudheer Baweja, Retired Professor, Panjab University, Chandigarh, led an interactive session on the “Art of Storytelling.” A feedback session followed, in which the teachers shared their experiences and suggestions.

Smt. Aruna Dhiman, Principal, Ankur School, offered the concluding remarks, and the programme closed with the presentation of mementos and Swamiji’s literature to the teachers. Breakfast and lunch were provided to all present.
