On 02 March 2026, the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Morabadi, Ranchi, held an inauguration ceremony for the fourth batch of a 60-day training programme for ex-servicemen. This initiative is sponsored by the Directorate General Resettlement (DGR) and is conducted under the guidance of the Divyayan Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK).

The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp and Vedic chanting by the chief guest, Colonel (Retd.) S.P. Gupta (Deputy Director, Directorate of Sainik Welfare, Jharkhand), accompanied by Swami Bhaveshananda (Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama), Dr. Rajesh Kumar (Programme Coordinator), Er. Deepak Srivastava, and other esteemed guests. Swami Bhaveshananda extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries by offering them angavastras and flower bouquets.
Key Addresses and Objectives
- Chief Guest’s Message: Colonel (Retd.) S.P. Gupta emphasized the unprecedented contribution of soldiers to nation-building. He directed the trainees to stay updated on various central and state government welfare schemes and appointment opportunities. He further encouraged them to complete the training with dedication to achieve self-reliance after their retirement.
- Institutional Guidance: Swami Bhaveshananda called upon the trainees to become role models for national defense and service, urging them to dedicate themselves to the development of the country with the spirit of Shivajnane Jeeva Seva (serving the divine in man).
- Training Curriculum: Dr. Rajesh Kumar provided a detailed overview of the training structure and the unique infrastructure available at the KVK. The curriculum aims to provide technical knowledge in fields such as mushroom cultivation, beekeeping, and animal husbandry, empowering the ex-servicemen to start their own enterprises and serve as models for their villages and the nation.
- Additional Insights: Er. Deepak Srivastava urged the trainees to embrace climate-resilient agriculture and adopt digital marketing and networking skills.
Conclusion
The programme was attended by 41 retired trainees, along with staff members including Er. O.P. Sharma, Dr. Bharat Mahto, Shahdev Pradhan, and Shri Gambhir Mahto. The proceedings were conducted by Dr. R.K. Singh, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Swami Ishwarananda.
