To celebrate the 125 years of the Ramakrishna Mission, our Jhargram centre has resolved to spread the inspiring message of Swami Vivekananda and give a brief introduction to the Ramakrishna Mission among the students of the schools and colleges in the Jhargram district. All the students attending the programme were presented with a book of Swamiji. A large laminated photo of Swami Vivekananda was presented to the institution along with a few books for the library. The Headmaster/Principal was given a special memento made for this occasion.
In the months of April and July of this year, Ramakrishna Mission, Jhargram, conducted this programme in one college and 11 schools. Total 2895 students (Boys-1391;Girls-1504) and 146 teachers attended the program. Swami Brahmeshwarananda visited the college and the schools, to conduct the programme. He spoke on Swamiji’s Message to the Youth to the students. Recitation of Swadesh Mantra and Reading from Swamiji’s writing by the students were a part of the programme. The documentary on the history of the Ramakrishna Mission was screened in the 11 schools of Jhargram, Nayagram, Binpur and Gopi blicks, and in Jhargram Raj College (Women Wing).
