Thanjavur—a city where culture forms the very essence of life—continues to uphold its glorious spiritual and artistic heritage. To encourage and preserve the sacred tradition of reciting the Vedas and the Divya Prabandham hymns of the Āzhwārs, Ramakrishna Math, Thanjavur, organized a special programme on 26th October 2025.
A group of both young and elderly practitioners, who have systematically learned these sacred recitations, were invited and honoured during the event. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 20 children and 10 youngsters, whose sincere and melodious chanting created a deeply devotional atmosphere.
This initiative by the Math served to inspire the younger generation to value and continue these ancient traditions, ensuring the living continuity of India’s spiritual and cultural heritage.
