The Ramakrishna Mission, Thirumukkudal, organized a welfare service program on 25 April 2026 to extend support to intellectually challenged families. The event commenced at 10:00 a.m. at the Ashrama premises, where essential provisions were distributed to 140 identified families associated with the Mission.
Each family received a comprehensive kit of food grains, oils, and hygiene products to assist with their daily needs. The total quantities distributed during the program are as follows:
- Rice: 700 kg (5 kg per family)
- Toor Dhal: 140 kg (1 kg per family)
- Musoor Dhal: 70 kg (0.5 kg per family)
- Gingelly Oil: 70 litres (0.5 litres per family)
- Salt: 140 kg (1 kg per family)
- Green Gram (Mung Dal): 35 kg (250 gms per family)
- Spices: 56 kg of assorted spice packets including Sambar, Rasam, Dhania, and Chilli powder (400 gms total per family)
- Hygiene Items: 140 units each of bathing and washing soaps
Following the distribution ceremony, cooked noon prasad was served to 200 beneficiaries in a peaceful and devotional atmosphere. The initiative was part of the Mission’s ongoing efforts to serve the underprivileged and specially-abled members of society, viewing service to humanity as service to the Divine..
