In January 2026, Ramakrishna Mission, Bagerhat, Bangladesh, conducted a series of winter relief distributions to support underprivileged individuals during the cold season. These initiatives were organized in collaboration with local cultural and spiritual organizations to mark the auspicious occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s Tithi Puja.
Relief Distribution Details
1. Swamiji Tithi Puja Distribution (10 January 2026) In association with the Vivekananda Shiksha O Sanskriti Parishad, Bagerhat, the Mission distributed essential winter wear to those in need.
- Blankets: 60 pieces
- Chadors: 10 pieces
- Socks: 40 pieces
2. National Youth Day Distribution (12 January 2026) On 12 January, the Mission partnered with Ramakrishna Ashrama, Polotana, Kotalipara, Gopalgonj, to carry out a larger scale distribution.
- Blankets: 270 pieces distributed among needy families and individuals.
Summary of Impact
Through these two events, a total of 330 blankets, along with additional warm clothing, were provided to the local community, ensuring better protection against the winter elements for over 300 households.
