In January 2026, the Ramakrishna Mission at Sikra Kulingram conducted a winter relief service, distributing 500 blankets to the underprivileged and needy residents of nearby villages and the Sundarban region in the North 24 Parganas district.
The relief work successfully covered a total of 24 villages, ensuring that those facing the harsh winter in remote areas received necessary support. The distribution included the following locations:
- Sikra Kulingram and Beler Dhanyakuria
- Sangberia, Srinagar, and Basirhat
- Maynali, Berachampa, and Sandelerbill
- Hingalganj, Barunhat, and Malekan Gumti
- Samsernagar, Kothabari, and Sahebkhali
- Kanaikati, Yogeshganj, and Hemnagar
- Kalitala, Uttar Malekan Gumti, and several other surrounding rural areas.
This initiative highlights the Mission’s ongoing commitment to serving the vulnerable populations of the Sundarbans and its neighboring districts during the winter season.
