The Annual Youth Conference of the Hooghly–III Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Bhavaprachar Yuva Parishad was organised by Ramakrishna Mission, Kalyani on 27 September 2026 at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium. About 120 youth representatives and members of the Yuva Parishad from different Ashramas of the Hooghly–III region participated. The programme included a speech competition, recitation of the Yuva Parishad pledge, question-and-answer sessions and interactive discussions.
Inaugural Session
The inaugural session began with the chanting of Vedic mantras, followed by an inaugural song. The participants were welcomed by Sri Mrinmay See, Convener, Hooghly–III Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Bhavaprachar Yuva Parishad. Swami Durganathananda, President, Hooghly–III Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Bhavaprachar Youth Parishad, delivered the welcome address and led the recitation of the Swadesh Mantra.
Addresses
Swami Nirantarananda, President, Hooghly–III Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Bhavaprachar Parishad, spoke on the objectives and significance of the Youth Conference and encouraged the youth to follow the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and to work for the welfare of society and the nation. Swami Shukadevananda, Vice-President, Hooghly–III Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Bhavaprachar Parishad, spoke on “The Relevance of Swami Vivekananda in All Aspects of Life.” A session of prayer and meditation was conducted by Swami Durganathananda.
Swami Kalyaneshananda, President, Hooghly–I Bhavaprachar Yuva Parishad, and representative of the headquarters, Ramakrishna Vivekananda Bhavaprachar Parishad, Belur Math, spoke on “Swami Vivekananda as an Ideal for Overcoming Mental Stress.”
Service Activity
25 specially abled children of the Halisahar Ramprasad Disabled Foundation were given school bags containing academic items, along with fruits, through the participating youths.
Concluding Session
Prizes were distributed to the winners of the speech competition, and the venue and date of the next Youth Conference were discussed. Shri Debarshi Mukherjee, Joint Convener, Hooghly–III Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Bhavaprachar Yuva Parishad, proposed the vote of thanks. The programme concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
