Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Sribhumi (Karimganj) organised a Youth Convention and a Devotee Convention at its Ashrama on 29 and 30 August 2026 respectively. Both programmes were graced by the presence of Swami Devatwananda, Swami Mahaprajnananda, and the resident monk, Swami Premaghanananda.
Youth Convention — 29 August 2026
The Youth Convention was attended by approximately 250 students and 45 teachers. The programme commenced with Vedic chanting and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by the felicitation of the revered guests. The proceedings included inspiring speeches, quiz and singing competitions, with prizes distributed to the winners. The participating students and teachers were further inspired by the addresses of the visiting Swamijis. The programme concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, evoking a strong spirit of patriotism and dedication among the young participants. Noon Prasad was served to all participants and guests.
Devotee Convention — 30 August 2026
The Devotee Convention was attended by approximately 310 devotees. The programme began with Vedic chanting and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by the felicitation of the revered guests. The proceedings included readings from The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna and Mayer Katha, devotional songs, and inspiring spiritual addresses by the visiting Swamijis, which were received with great attention and appreciation by the assembled devotees. The convention concluded with the collective chanting of “Ramakrishna Sharanam,” creating a deeply devotional and serene atmosphere. Noon Prasad was served to all devotees and guests.
