Ramakrishna Mission, Karimganj conducted a Youth convention, as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
On 04 August 2022, the centre organised a Youth convention at Bazaricherra in Karimganj District where students of 6 schools in the locality comprising 200 students participated. Swami Jnanalokananda Ji , Trustee, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Swami Vivekananda’s Ancestral House and Cultural Centre, Kolkata, was the chief guest. Prof. Biswajit Bhattacharjee, HOD, Bengali, Karimganj College too spoke at the convention. All the participants were provided with booklets on Swamiji.
On 05 August 2022, the centre organised a Youth convention in the Ashrama premises. All together students from 14 Schools and colleges, a total of 470 in number attended the convention. Swami Jnanalokananda ji rendered a speech on the Values education. Swami Shubhakarananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Agartala delivered a speech on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Competitions – Quiz, Recitation and speech was arranged and winners were awarded prizes.
