Ramakrishna Mission, Kuralbhanga organised a Youth Convention on 8 August 2026, attended by nearly 250 persons, comprising students, devotees, guardians, and teachers, as detailed below:

The programme commenced with Vedic chanting rendered by students of the Ashrama’s Students’ Home. Swami Ritatmananda delivered the welcome address, outlining the objectives and significance of the Youth Convention to the assembled participants.
The Keynote Address, titled “Empowering the Youth through Indian Ethos”, was delivered by Swami Ajatananda, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Guwahati. He was followed by Dr. Arindam Ghosh, Head of the Department of Physics, Captain Williamson Sangma State University, Meghalaya, who spoke on the theme “The Original Influencer of Centennials — Swami Vivekananda.”
Two student representatives then addressed the gathering. Sri Jabirong A. Sangma spoke on “Wi-Fi Connects People — Swami Vivekananda Connects Minds,” and Dr. Anuj Kundu (MBBS) presented his reflections on “Growing with Values, Shining with Knowledge.”
Sri Kumar Gourav Das, Additional District Commissioner, South Salmara Mankachar, Assam, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and offered words of benediction to the participants.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Sri Akhilesh Prasad, following which the programme concluded with the singing of the National Anthem. All participants were thereafter served with cooked Prasadam.
