Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Manasadwip, arranged a Youth Convention with students of some schools of Sagar Island in connection with the closing ceremony of 125th foundation ceremony of Ramakrishna Mission. Sri Pratyay Roy Chowdhury of Samajsiksha magazine was the Chief Guest and Swami Suratmanandaji was the Chairman of the Convention. Sri Samir Ranjan Giri and Sri Debasish Das were in the judging panel along with the Chief Guest and the Chairman.
The convention was conducted on the basis of these four question:
- Do you want to serve society?
- If yes, then how?
- How are you planning to serve society in future?
- How Swami Vivekananda is inspiring you to serve others at the same time helping you to change internally and externally?
All 146 students and 15 teachers joined this discussion and the panel of judges selected 8 best students from their replies. We were informed about these questions today only when these students came to the venue for registration this morning.
Students of Ramakrishna Mission High School, Manasadwip, presented group recitation of Swamiji’s poems, group tabla lahara and a drama depicting 6 incidents of the life of Swami Vivekananda.
