Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Divyayan Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Morabadi, Ranchi, in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Jharkhand, organised a Youth Conference on 10 November 2025 at Sitadih village, Angara block, Ranchi district. Around 350 youths enthusiastically participated in the event.
The programme began with Vedic chanting and lighting of the lamp, followed by a yoga demonstration led by Shri Kishore Manjhi, a yoga instructor trained by the Ashrama. The girls of Sitadih Akhandananda Coaching Centre presented a welcome song and dance, and Kumari Manya recited the Swadesh Mantra. The welcome address was delivered by Shri Budhram Bedia, President of the Vivekananda Sangha, Sitadih.
Swami Bhaktishananda from the Ashrama spoke on India’s national ideals of renunciation and service, inspiring the youth to imbibe Swami Vivekananda’s thoughts and ideals. Dr. Dipankar Maiti from Hazaribagh highlighted Swamiji’s vision for India’s resurgence and his message for national reconstruction.
Smt. Monila Jyoti Lakra, Headmistress of Jonha Project High School, addressed the gathering and emphasized that such youth conferences serve as an effective platform for goal-setting and character-building.
Swami Bhaveshananda, Secretary of the Ashrama, spoke on the theme “Build a New India”, illustrating the life and message of Swami Vivekananda. He explained the threefold form of education—academic, vocational, and moral—and urged the youth to contribute to national regeneration through Swamiji’s call of “Be and Make.” He further elaborated on the concept of 3H — Hand, Head, and Heart, representing skill, intellect, and compassion.
Yoga teacher Shri Pritam Banik discussed the importance of yoga in maintaining physical and mental health. Smt. Reena Nayak, Secretary of the Sarada Mahila Samiti, along with several youth participants, also shared their reflections.
The programme concluded with an interactive discussion on local issues and possible solutions, followed by a vote of thanks.
The event was ably compered by Shri Pradeep Mahato and Shri Chiranjiv Mandal. Among those present were Smt. Sarathi Devi, Mukhiya of Barwadag, and Shri Jagannath Shahi Munda, village head of Jonha. The programme’s success was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the members of Sitadih Vivekananda Seva Sangha, Sarada Mahila Samiti, and the Ashrama staff and volunteers. stage was managed by Shri Kulapati Karji. The success of this event was attributed to the special contributions of the workers from Vivekananda Seva Sangh, members of Sharda Mahila Sangh, and staff and well-wishers from the Ashram.
