Ramakrishna Mission, Digboi celebrated the 125th Foundation Day of Ramakrishna Mission on May 1st 2022, Sunday. We have organized Art, Quiz and Essay Competitions on the day among the students from about 26 schools in Digboi town to commemorate the above. On the other hand, ‘Special Puja’, ‘Homa’ and ‘Anna Bhoga’ were performed. Cooked Anna Prasad was distributed to some devotees. Prizes were distributed to about 25 winners of the competitions in the cultural program conducted later in the evening.
From evening 06.45 PM a cultural program started with offering flowers to Sri Ramakrishna Deva. Opening and closing songs were sung by Sri Subhasish Brahmachari and Sri Debopriyo Das respectively. Sri Manjit Barkakate ACS, Addl. Deputy Commissioner Tinsukia District was present as Chief Guest and Lt. Col. Kumar Gaurav, 18th Garhwal Rifles was present as Guest of Honor. Both of them along with other dignitaries Sri Jayanta Mahanta I.C. & Deputy Director of Supplies Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Govt. Of Assam and Retd. Prof. & HOD Dipak Ranjan Deb, Dept. of Physics were felicitated and invited to the dais. All of the guests spoke about the 125th Foundation Day of Ramakrishna Mission. Sri Swadesh Das also sang a beautiful song on Sri Ramakrishna. Swami Arunatmananda spoke on the importance of the day. Sri Avijit Roy concluded the program with a vote of thanks.
