The 88th Anniversary of Brahmanandodayam Schools, Kalady, was celebrated on January 13, 2025, with immense enthusiasm and reverence. The event was honored by the presence of Most Revered Swami Girishanandaji Maharaj, Vice-President of the Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, alongside other monastic members, distinguished guests, teachers, and students.
Smt. C. P. Suma Devi, Headmistress of BSUPS, presented the Annual Report of the School, highlighting the institution’s achievements and progress.
A significant part of the event was a heartfelt farewell to three dedicated educators—Smt. Usharani C. S., Principal In-Charge of BHSS, Smt. Jessy Thomas, Headmistress of BJBS, and Smt. Shanti T., Teacher at BHSS—who retired after years of dedicated service.
Swami Srividyananda, Manager of Brahmanandodayam Schools, delivered the presidential address, underscoring the importance of shraddha (faith), perseverance, and hard work. He shared an inspiring story about a woodcutter who ventured deep into the forest to discover precious gems, symbolizing the rewards of unwavering effort. Swami Srividyananda praised the retired teachers for their contributions and encouraged them to continue serving society.
Revered Swami Girishanandaji Maharaj expressed his joy at attending the celebration and paid tribute to the pioneering vision of Swami Agamananda, who laid the foundation for education in the region. He emphasized the relevance of Vedantic values and service to the nation, urging students to incorporate these principles into their lives.
Sri R. Ramanand, Director of the Abhinavgupta Institute of Advanced Studies, inaugurated the event. In his address, he inspired students to uphold the values embedded in Indian scriptures and culture.
The event also included speeches from PTA members, teachers, and dignitaries, who expressed gratitude to the school management and their colleagues. The retired teachers reminisced about their cherished memories at Brahmanandodayam Schools and thanked everyone for their unwavering support.
The celebration concluded with a vibrant cultural program presented by the students, showcasing their talent and enthusiasm.
