As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Ramakrishna Math, Ramanathapuram organized cultural competitions for school and college students on 8 & 10 August 2022. 31 College students and 459 school students participated. 42 candidates participated in music, 224 in elocution, 67 in recitation, 119 in painting and 61 candidates in poem took part in this competition. Prizes (Books & Photos) and certificates were given to the first, second and third position holders. All the participants were given participation certificates and Books on the Life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
The centre celebrated Independence day on 15 August 2022 in which 90 students of Our Vivekananda Vidyalaya CBSE School participated in different programmes and won several prizes.
