Ramakrishna Mission, Haflong centre organized a ‘Srimad Bhagavad-Gita Shloka Chanting Competition’ for school children from nearby schools on 6 September 2025.
The competition was conducted in three groups:
- Group A: Classes III – V (four shlokas)
- Group B: Classes VI – VIII (six shlokas)
- Group C: Classes IX – XII (eight shlokas)
To help the participants prepare, an Orientation Class was arranged at our Centre.
The event received an enthusiastic response from students, guardians, and heads of institutions. In total, 105 students from 13 schools participated. Selected students received prizes, and all participants were awarded certificates.
Smt. Nandita Gorlosa, Hon’ble Minister, Department of Sports & Youth Welfare, Government of Assam, and local MLA, took keen interest in the competition. She had requested us to organize this event again this year, and she herself graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
