A “Bhakta Sanmelan” was held at Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Guwahati on 28th June 2026 (Sunday), in connection with the 125th years of Swami Vivekananda’s visit to Assam. The programme, held at the Ashrama premises, was attended by approximately 250 devotees.
The proceedings commenced with Vedic Chanting by the monks, followed by a welcome address delivered by Swami Atmashuddhananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Guwahati.
Revered Swami Balabhadrananda ji Maharaj, Assistant General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. On this auspicious occasion, Revered Maharaj ji spoke on the subject “Sri Ramakrishna as the Living Embodiment of the Ramakrishna Order.”
Swami Achyuteshananda, Trustee, Ramakrishna Math, Belur Math, and Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Narottam Nagar; Swami Hitakamananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Shillong; and Swami Jnanamritananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Kharupetia, attended the function as guest speakers.
Swami Ekarupananda of Ramakrishna Mission, Borjhar spoke on the subject “Swami Vivekananda’s Visit to Assam.”
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Swami Atmavratananda, followed by the devotional song “Ramakrishna Sharanam.”
