Inaugural Speech (in Bengali) by Swami Suvirananda ji on 12 July 2021, holy Rathayatra Day, during the inauguration of the extension building of the Blind Boys’ Academy of Ramakrishna Mission, Narendrapur.
The newly constructed three storied “Annexe” of the Ramakrishna Mission Blind Boys’ Academy, Narendrapur was ceremonially inaugurated by Shri Shivprasad Behera, Senior Vice President & Head, Regional Office, SBI Capital Markets Ltd. on July 12, 2021 (Rath Yatra day).
The Blind Boys’ Academy was established in 1957. It was given the National Award thrice for the exceptional service to the Nation. It is being considered as one of the best Blind Boys’ Academy for its extraordinary multifarious activities for the visually impaired. The students of our academy have been leaving significant marks in studies, extracurricular activities and in various cultural events. After passing from our Academy they are working in different Govt. and private organisations with much expertise. The Academy has a Braille Press attached with it which is also known for its excellent services to the Nation. Accordingly, it was conferred with National Award twice similarly. It caters to the needs of the Braille Books in the entire eastern region of the country.
