The four-day Centenary Celebrations of Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru, from 21st to 24th November 2025, concluded smoothly and successfully. The holy presence of President Maharaj Srimat Swami Gautamananda ji, sanctified the event, filling the entire atmosphere with spiritual joy.
A short video message of Swami Suvirananda ji, General Secreatry Maharaj, was displayed in the 7.5-minute documentary on the Mysuru Ashrama.

- About 270 monastics, including monks from Karnataka Bhavaprachar Centres and Revered Matajis from Sarada Math.
- Around 1100 registered residential and non-residential delegates.
- Nearly 1000 additional devotees, parents, alumni, and well-wishers.
- The celebrations featured 15 sessions with 67 speakers.

Major Events of the Celebrations
1. Nagara Sankeertanam – Bhajana Yatra (20 November 2025)
The curtain-raiser programme began from Sri Chandramoulishwara Swamy Temple and concluded at the Ashrama.
- Participation: around 700 monks, devotees, and bhajan groups.
2. Viveka Yatra – Procession in the City
A grand procession started from Sadvidya Pathashala and concluded at Viveka Smaraka.
- Participants: Over 1500 students, 250 monks, 500 devotees, and the general public.
- Featured elements: motorable chariot with Swamiji’s statue, folk arts, traditional instruments, and a portrayal of Swami Vivekananda.
- Prasad was distributed at the conclusion.
3. Ushakeerthana at Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa Circle (6:15 am)
At the 10-foot sitting statue of Sri Sri Thakur:
- Included Vedic chanting, bhajans, introductory talk, ārati, meditation, and pradakshina.
- Attendance: more than 600 people.
4. Samarpana Samavesha
On the 24th morning, a special ceremony of offering all the services rendered by the centre during these 100 years was symbolically offered to Sri Ramakrishna on the stage by chanting, offering flowers and performing aarati.
5. Yati puja
In a specially erected pandal, about 250 monks were offered yati puja along with chanting of Veda mantras by a team of priests who are experts in chanting Veda mantras and gifts were offered in a specially designed kit.
6. Viveka Gatha – Multimedia Cultural Programme
A large-scale cultural presentation at Vidyashala Stadium, featuring:
- Drama, music, dance, bhajans, instrumental performances.
- Themes centred on the lives of Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda.
This concluding programme deeply impressed and inspired the audience.
Upcoming Event
Preparations are underway for the inauguration of the Viveka Smaraka — Swami Vivekananda Cultural Youth Centre, likely in December 2025 or January 2026. Blessings, guidance, and support for this historic initiative are earnestly sought.
