A Devotees’ Convention was organized by Ramkrishna Mission Ashrama, Kailashahar, to mark the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sister Nivedita. The convention was held on 19 March 2018, with high
religious fervour in the august assemblage of around 600 devotees under the inspirational presence of Swami Divyananda ji, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Saradapitha, who graced the occasion as the Chief Speaker. Swami Divyananda ji enriched everyone with his valuable deliberations on the Holy Trio and the comparatively less explored aspects of Sister Nivedita’s altruistic character and personality.
The Conference took off with Vedic incantation and reading from Kathamrita, along with the Welcome Address by Swami Tyagivarananda, and continued for the whole day through various programmes such as devotional songs, speeches, Shyamanama Sankirtan, question-answer session, etc. The day-time schedule came to an end with distribution of Prasada among the devotees.
