On August 3, 2025, the Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, successfully completed a house-building initiative under its Distress Rehabilitation Project in the Hooghly District of West Bengal.
The project provided financial assistance and supervised the construction of three permanent houses for three needy families. The work was executed through the local branch centre, Ramakrishna Math, Gourhati. Two of the new homes were constructed in the village of Gourhati, and the third was built in Takipur. On 3 August 2025, the three newly constructed houses were officially handed over to the beneficiary families, providing them with safe and permanent shelter.
