Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Vrindavan, conducted extensive relief work in September 2025 in response to severe waterlogging caused by incessant rainfall coupled with the release of water from local dams.
Emergency Response and Food Service
The immediate response focused on providing sustenance to those most affected. From September 4th to 21st, 2025, the Sevashrama served cooked meals and distributed essential dry foods, including buns, bananas, and biscuit packets, reaching a total of 1800 persons.
Material and Medical Aid
Relief efforts were expanded to include material distribution and essential medical care:
- Ration Kit Distribution: On September 21st, the centre distributed ration kits and other essentials to 70 families residing in the Mathura district.
- Medical Camp: The centre also set up a crucial medical camp where 200 patients received treatment and were provided with necessary medicines, addressing immediate health concerns arising from the flood conditions.
This multi-faceted relief operation provided vital food, medical assistance, and essential supplies to hundreds of affected individuals and families across the Vrindavan and Mathura regions.
