Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Chattogram, successfully organized and executed a month-long large-scale relief operation for destitute populations across the hilly districts and the greater Chattogram area during the period of Shri Shri Durga Puja.
The humanitarian drive was conducted between September 15 and October 15, 2025, focusing on providing essential clothing and dry food rations to those in need.
Comprehensive Clothing Distribution
A total of 650 individuals received new garments. The clothing distributed included:
- 350 Saris for women.
- 40 Dhotis.
- 260 general garments (clothes).
Food Ration Support for 300 Families
The Mission provided comprehensive food packages to 300 families, ensuring nutritional support during the festival season. The following items were included in each family’s package:
- 10 kg Rice
- 1 kg Lentils (Dal)
- 1 kg Salt
- 2 kg Potatoes
- 0.5 kg Cooking Oil
The aggregate quantity of materials distributed highlights the scale of the operation: a total of 3,000 kg of Rice, 300 kg of Lentils, 300 kg of Salt, 400 kg of Potatoes, and 150 liters of Cooking Oil were distributed to the beneficiaries.
