Throughout the month of February 2026, the Ramakrishna Centre of South Africa, Durban, remained committed to its mission of serving “Daridra Narayana” (God in the form of the poor). The centre continued its dedicated humanitarian outreach to support indigent individuals and families facing socio-economic challenges in the Durban region.

Relief Assistance Details

The assistance provided focused on both immediate hunger relief and sustainable household support:

  • Food Hampers: A total of 230 comprehensive hampers containing essential dry rations and groceries were distributed. These hampers are designed to provide sustained nutritional support to families over an extended period.
  • Prepared Meals: To address immediate food insecurity, the centre served 1,350 plates of nutritious, cooked food to individuals in need.
