Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Jalpaiguri, hosted a significant Values Education Programme on 23 February 2026, featuring a motivational talk by Swami Bodhamayananda, Adhyaksha of Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad.
Programme Proceedings
The event was conducted in a solemn and inspiring atmosphere:
- Inauguration: The programme commenced with sacred Vedic chanting and a soulful devotional song.
- Keynote Address: Revered Swami Bodhamayanandaji Maharaj delivered a powerful address, emphasizing the importance of character building, spiritual values, and a steadfast dedication to higher ideals.
- Interactive Session: Following the talk, an engaging Q&A session allowed students and participants to interact directly with Revered Maharaj for personal and spiritual guidance.
- Conclusion: The gathering concluded with a collective rendition of the National Anthem.
Participation and Outreach
The programme saw a diverse turnout of 293 participants, including:
- Students from various educational institutions and local youth.
- Teachers, devotees, and admirers of the Ramakrishna Movement.
Prasad and Literature Distribution
At the conclusion of the event, all 293 attendees were provided with cooked prasad (lunch), a book on the Life & Teachings of Swami Vivekananda, and photos of Swami Vivekananda to serve as a constant source of inspiration.
