Distress relief activities were conducted by Ramakrishna Mission, Sri Vijaya Puram (Port Blair) on 12 April 2026. The primary objective of the initiative was to provide essential material support to vulnerable sections of society residing in the Pahar Ganj and Brookshabad areas of South Andaman.
A total of 140 families were identified and served during this humanitarian outreach. To assist with health, hygiene, and nutritional needs, each family was provided with a curated kit of essential items.
The distribution per family included the following:
- Mosquito Net: 1 piece
- Bath Soap: 1 piece
- Detergent Powder: 500 gm (1 packet)
- Biscuits: 1 packet
- Frooti: 1 piece
The relief work was carried out in a disciplined manner, adhering to the mission’s tradition of serving humanity in the spirit of worship.area.
