Distribution of Blankets: Kanchipuram, December 2025

Ramakrishna Math, Kanchipuram

On Sunday, December 7, 2025, Ramakrishna Math, Kanchipuram, successfully conducted its annual Winter Relief Service. The core objective was to provide essential winter protection to the most vulnerable members of the community. In total, 300 high-quality Fleece Blankets were distributed, ensuring one blanket was provided to each of 300 needy families.

The relief efforts were strictly targeted towards marginalized sections of society, specifically focusing on downtrodden families belonging to the SC (Scheduled Caste) and ST (Scheduled Tribe) segments. All beneficiaries are daily wage earners who face severe hardships during the cold season. The distribution covered four remote villages across the Chengalpattu and Kanchipuram Districts, ensuring that aid reached areas with limited access to resources. Furthermore, the Math paid special attention to those with unique needs, as approximately one dozen beneficiaries included differently abled persons.

In conclusion, the Winter Relief Service 2025 was a meaningful exercise in community support, directly addressing the basic needs of 300 impoverished families. The successful execution, reaching remote villages and including special needs individuals, underscores the Math’s commitment to selfless service and welfare, made possible by the timely support from Belur Math.
