Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Gurap organized a charitable distribution of sarees and garments among the needy people in September 2025. The distribution covered several villages across Hooghly and Purba Bardhaman districts, including Bhangamora, Dasghara, Dhaniakhali, Dwarbasini, Monipur, Cheragram, Maharampur, Sahapur Tarekeshwar, Abujhati, Ajhapur, Jarur, Bhastara, Gurap, Palasi, Piratali (Hooghly district), and Sahapur, Jhapandanga (Purba Bardhaman district).
A total of 938 beneficiaries received clothing materials, which included 600 sarees, 200 lungis, 53 dhotis, and 85 shirts. The initiative aimed to provide comfort and support to economically weaker sections of society.
